Originally, the 30-year-old forward was supposed to be out of the lineup for about six weeks.

Marcus Sörensen has now been sidelined by a finger injury for four weeks, but he will not be able to return as scheduled, as Christian Dubé tells La Liberté: "He will miss more than six weeks [...]."

As for a replacement, the team manager and head coach of HC Fribourg-Gottéron is keeping an eye on the market but, according to him, it is hard to find someone that is willing to join the team for a month and "at the moment, I don't have the budget for a seventh import player that will stay the entire season."

While Sörensen was practicing (albeit in a non-contact jersey), Killian Mottet was not present. According to Dubé, he should, however, be able to travel to Austria for their next Champions Hockey League game.
