His contract set to run out in summer, the US-American adds a fifth season as a Dragon.

HC Fribourg-Gottéron has announced an extension for Ryan Gunderson, making the 37-year-old a member until 2024. He has been with them since 2019, and, as the club states, is yet to miss a game.

"I am very happy that I was able to extend my contract for another season", Gunderson states. "We have a great team that has a chance to win every night and I love playing for our coaches, staff, and the fans in the new arena. Every day is special to be here."

Since joining the league, the defenseman has appeared in 187 games,. recording 25 goals and 107 assists.

"Ryan is the perfect example of a professional", team manager and head coach Christian Dubé comments. "His work ethic has led to him still being very successful and valuable to our team at the age of 37 and we are very happy that we can count on him for another season!"
