As anticipated by Klaus Zaugg (Watson), Marc Michaelis has decided to leave the Emmental as of next season.

Marc Michaeli has signed a two-year contract with EV Zug, valid until the end of the 2024-25 season. This season, the forward has recorded 15 goals and 24 assists in 44 games for the SCL Tigers.

Zug will also gain a new assistant coach in Michael Liniger. The head coach of the GCK Lions will also join them on a two-year deal. While the Lions had offered him a contract extension and a position as an assistant coach of the ZSC Lions, Liniger decided to leave the organization. Liniger will leave the team after the season. The Lions are looking for a successor.

While EV Zug will thus be able to celebrate two new arrivals to the team, they will also have to bid farewell to two coaches: Josh Holden and Niklas Gällstedt. "Josh now wants to seek a new challenge as head coach," Reto Kläy states.

Where the two coaches will end up remains to be seen, but both Watson as well as the Südostschweiz reported that Holden was among the final candidates for HC Davos' vacant head coaching position.
