Apparently, HC Lugano has inked Lorenzo Canonica and Matthew Verboon to a contract. Canonica would thus return to his formative club after three years in the QMJHL with the Shawinigan Cataractes. As for Matthew Verboon, Blick already reported last month the interest of the Bianconeri in the 22-year-old. Now, it seems that said interest concretized in an agreement.

Verboon - who has dual Swiss and Canadian citizenship - currently plays in the United States with the Colgate University (13 goals and 16 assists in 30 games this season), while Canonica collected 38 points in 43 games with the Cataractes. Moreover, both forwards participated in two editions of the World Juniors.
