Besides the news about Antti Törmänen, EHC Biel has seen some more personnel changes. Ian Derungs, a 23-year-old forward, has been acquired from HC Ajoie, where he was for one season. Prior to that, he was with HC Thurgau and SC Langenthal in the Swiss League.
Assistant coach Oliver David, who had joined in 2021, will leave to become the head coach of EC Red Bull Salzburg. His name was reported to be in the running for that position in early April.
