National League

It seems like the Swedish forward has made use of his out-clause and is joining the National League.

Malte Strömwall is still under contract with Frölunda HC for another year. However, his contract includes a clause that would allow him to leave - to be activated until April 30. As Expressen writes, the Swede has elected to do so - and is headed to Switzerland to join the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers.

It would be the first stint in the National League for Strömwall, who has played for teams from the SHL, the KHL, the Liiga, the AHL, and the ECHL.

Earlier this month, there were reports that HC Ambrì-Piotta was interested in acquiring the 29-year-old as well.
