Lauri Tukonen will reinforce EHC Kloten for the last few months of the 2018-19 term. He joins the team from the SHL's Växjö Lakers, where he was for about six weeks. Prior to his stint in Sweden, the 32-year-old forward was mostly engaged in the Finnish Liiga, where he suited for various organizations. Between 2005 and 2008, he was under contract with the Los Angeles Kings, but mostly played with their former AHL-affiliate, the Manchester Monarchs.

"Lauri Tukonen is a very strong player skill-wise who will contribute a lot to our game with his size and his speed", team manager Felix Hollenstein comments.

Simon Kindschi has signed with Kloten for two years, starting in summer. The defenceman is already with the team, playing on a B-licence. He is currently under contract with the SCL Tigers.

"We are very pleased to be able to count on the services of Simon Kindschi for the next two seasons. With his size and his physical presence, he will reinforce our defence", Hollenstein mentions.

In addition to those two signings, Kloten also agreed on a one-year contract extension with Fabian Sutter. The 36-year-old forward is in his first season with the Swiss League-team after mainly playing in the National League his whole career. With 13 goals and 18 assists in 31 games, Sutter is the currently Kloten's top scorer.
