The 52-year-old Swede has reportedly agreed on terms with EHC Kloten on a two-year contract through to the 2020-21 season.

Per Hånberg - Off to a new challenge

When asked about by Leroy Ryser (desktopstories.ch), the Swiss League team from the Oberaargau confirmed his departure. Hånberg's ambitions and ultimately also the lack of prospects in Langenthal apparently were the main reasons the club let him go. He will thus leave SC Langenthal after two years and with the 2019 Championship title in his pocket.

In Kloten, Hånberg will take over the head coaching duties from the trio Felix Hollenstein, Waltteri Immonen and Beat Equilino, who replaced André Rötheli behind the bench at the beginning of March after the team was down 3-1 in the Playoff quarterfinals series against... SC Langenthal.
