Will Konstantin Schmidt remain with HCC?

The 29-year-old joined HC La Chaux-de-Fonds on a try-out basis three weeks ago. On September 7, HCC's staff will have to decide if they want to keep Schmidt on their team. As he has been part of their first line recently, chances seem to be intact, Arcinfo writes. Team manager Loïc Burkhalter, however, did not want to say more about the matter for now.
As for goalie Christophe Bays, he is still recovering from a knee-surgery, which he underwent in February. He is gradually resuming practice but not yet ready for game action, the same source reports.
