As Van Guilder is expected to be out of EHC Visp's lineup for at least three weeks due to a foot injury and with Troy Josephs also sidelined by an injury, the Swiss League team decided to look for a replacement for the time being.

Michael Keränen is supposed to join the team this Wednesday, as Radio Rottu Oberwallis reports. He will be part of the team "until further notice". The Finn played in the SHL for Mora IK last season, recording six goals and 14 assists in 45 regular-season games. In the 2017-18 season, he played for Genève-Servette HC for three games.
