The club announced six new signings, as well as three departures and eight extensions.

New team for former SC Langenthal's goaltender Marco Mathis.

The 2019-20 season has just finished, but EHC Winterthur has already announced several transfers for the upcoming season. Goaltender Justin Gianola will remain in Winterthur and will be joined by Marco Mathis, who therefore leaves HC La Chaux-de-Fonds after one season. Mathis has signed a two-year deal.

In the defense department, Nico Engeler will join from HC Thurgau. Moreover, while the contracts of Mike Küng, Joel Sigg, and Marcel Raggi have been extended, Michael Roos and Pascal Blaser will leave the team.

For what concerns the offense, EHC Winterthur adds four young players who are all born in 2000: Timo Braus and Fabian Haldimann, both from the SCL Young Tigers, as well as Filip Sluka and Sandro Meier, from EHCW's youth organization. Moreover, the contracts of Riley Brace, Zack Torquato, Tim Wieser, and Silvan Hess have also been extended. For his part, Luca Homberger decided to retire from professional hockey.
