As the Walliser Bote reported earlier this week, EHC Visp was on the lookout for a temporary replacement for Mark Van Guilder who is currently sidelined. Glenn Gawdin will join the Swiss League team for this fall.
The forward had been drafted by the Calgary Flames in 2015. Gawdin resigned with the Flames earlier this month and agreed to a one-year, two-way deal. In 51 AHL games last season, he recorded 16 goals and 21 assists.
