Swiss League

Like many other teams, the Swiss League club will have to reduce their payroll for the next season.

HC Sierre

As HC Sierre's president Alain Bonnet tells Le Nouvelliste, they will have to decrease their budget by CHF 200,000. This will not be an easy endeavour as they already have a lot of contracts in place which are also valid for the 2021-22 season.

However, players signing new contracts with the Swiss League team will have a "Covid-clause" included. This means that the new deals are linked to rink attendance: "We will have to find the right balance since we know that salaries are already quite modest."
