As EHC Olten's team manager Marc Grieder tells the Oltner Tagblatt, he had been in contact with Brennan Othmann's agent and will contact him again regarding a potential return to EHC Olten. However, it looks like he will start the season with his junior team.
“I think I met my expectations here, maybe exceeded them a little, but I came in here wanting to learn a lot. I want to take that back to junior,” he told the New York Post. “I want to be the top guy in my league in junior, a top-three guy, a top-five guy. I think since the first day I got here [for development camp] about a month ago, I think I got a lot stronger, skating and battling with the older guys."
Othmann, who was drafted 16th overall by the New York Rangers, appeared in 34 regular-season games for the Mice last season, recording seven goals and nine assists.
