"I feel good here, I am captain, I have ice time. There is also this sports project and the new rink," Maxime Montandon says to Le Nouvelliste about the prospect of extending his contract with HC Sierre, where he has received a new offer. "I will decide by the end of January."
Although he would like to try his luck in the National League, a future in Sierre is more likely right now: "To be honest, there's a better chance I'll stay in Sierre because I don't have a concrete offer yet and with six foreigners in the NL, next season, the spots will be more expensive."
With 23 points in 30 games so far this season, Maxime Montandon ranks fifth in Sierre's overall scorer list. With eleven goals, he is their best goal scorer.
