As team manager Christophe Fellay tells the Walliser Bote, Perron will not return to HC Sierre's lineup before the end of the regular season. They have thus decided to look for another import player.
According to Fellay, in this case, money is not necessarily the problem, but their options. They are looking to add someone who is already playing in the Swiss League.
They are thus in contact with EHC Winterthur's Mathew Wilkins, but Sierre is probably not the only interested party. The Canadian has recorded 16 goals and 29 assists in 40 regular-season games for the Lions.
