Geisser, as well as Jonas Siegenthaler, will be in the Washington Capitals' training camp. Thürkauf and defender Dean Kukan will try their luck in the Columbus Blue Jackets' training camp. Yannick Rathgeb, Pius Suter and Luca Sbisa (PTO) will suit up for the New York Islanders. Vincent Praplan, for his part, will suit up or the San Jose Sharks. Akira Schmid will get an opportunity to play in the New Jersey Devils training camp.

As previously reported, Michael Fora (Carolina Hurricanes), Philipp Kurashev (Chicago Blackhawks) and Nico Gross (New York Rangers) will also take part in the training camps of their respective team. Some teams still have to announce their rosters for the camps.

Of course, the "old guard" of Swiss players will also be busy in the next weeks: Yannick Weber, Roman Josi, Kevin Fiala (all Nashville Predators), Sven Andrighetto (Colorado Avalanche), Nino Niederreiter (Minnesota Wild), Sven Bärtschi (Vancouver Canucks), Denis Malgin (Florida Panthers), Timo Meier (San Jose Sharks), Nico Hischier, and Mirco Müller (both New Jersey Devils).
