That is what Dominik Kubalík, who was signed to a one-year deal by the Blackhawks at the end of May this year, told the Chicago Tribune. The 23-year-old Czech winger, however, hopes to make the NHL roster since the Hawks are set to open the regular season against the Philadelphia Flyers on October 4 in Prague as part of the NHL's Global Series.
Playing with HC Ambrì-Piotta, Kubalík finished the past 2018-19 regular season on top of the National League's scorer list, recording 25 goals and 32 assists for 57 points in a total of 50 games.
