The recently hired general manager of the NHL team, Bill Guerin, told Michael Russo (The Athletic) that they made a "fair offer" to him.

Kevin Fiala is a restricted free agent and had to wait for a while for the Wild's offer. The wait was due to the fact that their owner, Craig Leopold, wanted to find a new general manager and leave the negotiations to him.

"We've made him a fair offer and he's deciding. We want to get him in as quick as possible," Guerin tells Russo. The Wild will open their training camp this week. However, whether Fiala will accept the offer or not, it seems unlikely that the Swiss forward will be there this Friday. The paperwork might take some time.
