The Ottawa Senators have reduced their training camp roster by ten players today, including Tristan Scherwey.

The 28-year-old forward, who still has a valid contract with SC Bern through to the 2026-27 season (including an NHL-out clause for next summer), will thus return to Switzerland's capital city and finish the season in the National League.

Scherwey made a good first impression on the Ottawa Senators' roster, scoring the go-ahead goal midway through the third period to lift the Sens to a 3-1 win against the Maple Leafs in their pre-season opener last Tuesday. Also head coach D.J. Smith was impressed by his performance and suggested a promising future in the NHL.
