Columbus has sent Thürkauf down to the Cleveland Monsters, where the former EV Zug-junior already spent the last two seasons. The 22-year-old has made a total of 101 games in the AHL so far, recording 13 goals and 13 assists.

A bit further westwards, Philipp Kurashev has also been assigned to the AHL. In his case, Chicago sent him to the Rockford IceHogs. After the end of his season in the QMJHL last spring, the 19-year-old already made three appearances for the IceHogs.
