Former GCK player Marco Rossi drafted by the Minnesota Wild

After forward Alexis Lafrenière was chosen as 1st overall by the New York Rangers, Marco Rossi had to be patient. The former youth player of the ZSC/GCK-Organization finally heard his name when the Minnesota Wild chose him as their first-round pick at the 9th overall position.

For the past two seasons, Marco Rossi suited up for the Ottawa 67's in the Ontario Hockey League, one of the three Canadian junior leagues. Before that, the Austrian suited up in 17 games for the GCK Lions in 2017-18.
