Thanks to the GCK Lions winning their Swiss League semifinal series versus EHC Olten, there will be no promotion/relegation round this year. EHC Kloten is thus done for the season, which in turn has led to David Reinbacher being called overseas by the Canadiens de Montréal.
For now, the 19-year-old has been assigned to the AHL's Rocket de Laval. They have their next three games from Friday to Sunday, so there might be a chance Reinbacher already gets to make his North American debut in one of those.
With 12 games left in the Rocket's season, they are still in the fight for playoffs.
