Sanguinetti is currently without a team and will thus have the opportunity to showcase his skills during the tournament. Last season, he recorded 13 goals and 26 assists in 60 games for HC Lugano.
The traditional tournament, which will open its doors on December 26, will feature Metallurg Magnitogorsk (KHL), HC Oceláři Třinec (Czech Extraliga), KalPa Kuopio (Liiga), the Thomas Sabo Ice Tigers (DEL) and, of course, Team Canada.
