Team Canada without Cory Emmerton at the Spengler Cup

Team Canada did not disclose why Cory Emmerton will not be able to attend the prestigious tournament in Davos. It would have been the fifth time that the Lausanne HC forward would have worn the maple leaf on his chest at the Spengler Cup.

Éric Faille, for his part, will make his Spengler Cup debut next week. The 30-year-old forward has only ever played for Canada at the Universiade. This season, he has recorded 13 goals and 32 assists in 29 games. Only HC Ajoie's dynamic duo, Devos and Hazen, has scored more points in the Swiss League.
