With the current contract between Davos ad the league running out in 2021, a decision had to be made whether they want to keep paying a total of CH 800,000 to the other National League clubs or share the attention with them during the last week of the year. As the NZZ writes, the first option was taken - the Spengler Cup will remain the only opportunity to see National League teams in action between Christmas and the new year for now. The contract renewal is expected to be for five years.
