After the game against the Czech on Sunday, Patrick Fischer has once again cut four players from the roster for the World Championship.

Romain Loeffel (HC Lugano), André Heim (HC Ambri-Piotta), Noah Rod (Genève-Servette HC), and Mike Künzle (EHC Biel) will not be able to play at this year's World Championship.

This is, however, not yet the final roster for the World Championship, as they are waiting to see how the remaining Swiss players in the NHL playoffs will fare this week. The final roster for the Worlds will thus likely be revealed at the end of the week.

In other news, Switzerland will be part of the Euro Hockey Tour for at least the next two seasons. They will thus be able to compete with three of the best European hockey nations (Sweden, Finland, and Czechia) on a regular basis during the next two years.

Each country will host one round of the Euro Hockey Tour each year. There will be four tournaments per year. Switzerland will host the other nations in December 2022 and 2023. In 2022, the teams will face each other from December 15 to 18. It is not yet clear, where the games will be played.
