The 17-year-old forward is a product of EV Zug's organization and suited up for their U20 team last season. In 34 regular-season games, he recorded 17 goals and twelve assists.

Two players of HC Lugano were also drafted by CHL teams: Lorenzo Canonica was selected 20th overall by the Shawinigan Cataractes, Brian Zanetti was picked by the Peterborough Petes (43rd overall).

The fourth Swiss player in the mix was Noah Délémont. The defenseman was already drafted last year by the Acadie-Bathurst Titan but did not have the season he hoped for.

He told MySports back in May that he would like to spend a second season in the QMJHL, but his team had not yet reached out to him at the time. It looks like he has now a chance again with the Owen Sound Attack, who drafted him 28th overall.
