"Vincent plays a gritty, hard-nosed brand of hockey," Sea Dogs president and General Manager Trevor Georgie says about his new acquisition. "We think that his style of play will be something that Saint John fans really enjoy."

Vincent Despont has been part of EHC Kloten's U20-Elit in the past season and is also a member of the Swiss U18 national team. In Saint John, the 18-year-old defender will meet another Swiss player: Goalie Noah Patenaude.

"I'm really proud to join this amazing organization," Despont says on the club's website. "I'm excited to get started and be back on the ice."
