It would not be Berglund's first stint in Switzerland as he suited up for Martigny Red Ice during the 2016-17 season. In 48 regular season games, he recorded 26 goals and 40 assists. Since then, Jacob Berglund mostly played in the DEL and KHL. Most recently, he hit the ice for Severstal Cherepovets in the KHL.
