Anton Gustafsson, who spent most of his career in Switzerland, retires. Most recently, he played for Sundsvall in Sweden's third-highest league.

"Unfortunately, I have had to make the very tough decision to end my hockey career," Gustafsson is quoted on the website of his team IF Sundsvall Hockey. "I love playing hockey, but unfortunately it is no longer possible to combine it with work and family life."

Anton Gustafsson spent almost ten seasons in Switzerland, playing for the SCL Tigers (2010-12, 2013-2016, and 2017-2019), HC Fribourg-Gottéron (2016-17), and EHC Biel (2019-2021). Over the course of his career, he played 282 games in the National League (37 goals, 47 assists) and 56 in the Swiss League (19 goals, 22 assists).

One year ago, he left EHC Biel and joined IF Sundsvall Hockey in the Hockeyettan, where he became the captain of their team.
