Not having received a qualification offer by his NHL-team, the Colorado Avalanche, Sven Andrighetto has signed a two-year contract with the KHL-team Avangard Omsk, as Igor Eronko (sport-express.ru) writes.
Andrighetto's agent, Aljoša Pilko, confirms him having signed a deal with a Russian team.
Omsk themselves have tweeted a picture from which one could come to the conclusion that they have signed the Swiss forward. KHL-teams seem to have a tendency to do riddles about their additions lately, as HC Admiral Vladivostok did with Adam Almquist, another one of Pilko's clients.
26-year-old Andrighetto spent most of the past five years in the NHL, playing for the Montreal Canadiens and the Colorado Avalanche. In a total of 227 games, he recorded 32 goals and 52 assists.
