Ville Peltonen to coach HIFK next season?

According to Finnish news outlet Iltalehti, Ville Peltonen will be the new head coach of HIFK as of next season. He is set to succeed Jarno Pikkarainen who has been the head coach of the Liiga team since 2019.

According to Sport-Center (published on 24 heures), Peltonen is technically still under contract with Lausanne HC until the end of 2021-22 season. In December 2020, 24 heures reported that LHC still owed money to Peltonen due to his ongoing contract.
