The 31-year-old forward bids his farewell to Olten in spite of a valid contract for the upcoming season. He joins the Villacher SV.

About a month ago, Ulmer told the Austrian newspaper Kleine Zeitung that he would like to return to his native country. Now it is clear that his wish will come true. "I'm extremely looking forward to the new challenge," he is quoted by the club's website. Ulmer has signed a one-year deal with the EC VSV.

The Austrian international has played in Switzerland for the past eight seasons. In 2011, he joined Lausanne HC. Later, he also suited up for Red Ice, EHC Biel, and EHC Olten. He has appeared in 76 games in the National League (20 points) and 398 in the Swiss League (262 points).
