As HC Lugano announces on their Facebook page, forwards Tim Traber, Raffaele Sannitz, and Jani Lajunen have returned to practice on the ice with the rest of the team. However, for Lajunen, who underwent surgery in May, the road to full recovery is still a long one. According to RSI, also Sannitz is not ready to return to game-action. For his part, goaltender Sandro Zurkirchen has also recovered from Covid-19, however, he is still dealing with an injury sustained in October against HC Fribourg-Gottéron.
On a side note, HC Lugano will face tomorrow evening the SCL Tigers. The expected opponents of the two teams, the ZSC Lions and Lausanne HC, are both in quarantine, so the two clubs were able to organize this game, thus anticipating one of their duels of the season.
