Timothy Coffman was checked by HC Ajoie's Daniel Eigenmann and, still according to Arcinfo, injured his shoulder during the incident and suffered a concussion. An ambulance had to be called to the arena. Eigenmann received a game-misconduct penalty.
If this injury will indeed put an early end to Coffman's season, it is also an early end to his time with HC La Chaux-de-Fonds. Only last week, the club and the player announced that they are going to part ways at the end of the season - after three years together.
