Matt D'Agostini missed the majority of last season as well as the start of this season because of knee issues. HC Ambrì-Piotta had recently sent him down to the HCB Ticino Rockets in order for him to get some minutes in. In two games for the Swiss League team, the Canadian forward recorded five assists.
