Lian Bichsel was issued a suspension for a violation of IIHF rule 48 (Checking to the head or neck). The incident happened in the 38th minute of play in Leksands IF's game against Slovan Bratislava.
The defender will also have to pay a fine of 700 EUR. Bichsel, who is a product of EHC Biel's organization, is currently in his first season with Leksands IF.
