Upon the transfer deadline, EHC Frauenfeld managed to sign Justin Gianola. The young netminder has already suited up for his new club during the entire pre-season replacing injured Remo Oehninger. The last season, Gianola appeared in eight games for EHC Winterthur, posting a save percentage of 87.1%.
