His contract with EHC Biel running out at the end of January, Rihards Bukarts was looking for a new home and has found one with HC Vitkovice. On the forward's wish, he will move to the Ostrava-based team right away, leaving the National League behind.
"We believe that Rihards Bukarts will quickly become one of the driving forces of our offense and we wish him good luck and may he thrive with us", Vitkovice's team manager Roman Šimíček is cited on the club's website.
In his tenure with Biel, Bukarts made eleven appearances and recorded one goal and assist each.
