Scoring the equalizer with 108 seconds left in regulation and winning the game 47 seconds into overtime - the Lions surely made it dramatic.

For 58 minutes, EV Bomo Thun was able to dream of an upset. They scored the first two goals of the game - Maija Otamo in the 15th minute and Cindy Joray very early into the third period -, but the ZSC Lions Frauen were able to fight back. In the 49 minute, Lisa Rüedi got them within one and, after a phase with a lot of penalties on both sides, Alina Marti scored the tying goal with under two minutes to go in regulation.

A penalty taken by Joray with 52 seconds left would spell misfortune for Bomo. With that one carrying over into overtime, the Lions' defender Skylar Fontaine was able to convert on the powerplay and end the game.

Thanks to the US-American's tally, the Lions managed to defend their title. It was a close final series, with Bomo winning games 2 and 3, but unable to make use of their home advantage yesterday.
