Dario Allenspach was suspended due to a check against Laker Jeremy Wick in Game 1. Although Zug appealed the decision, the SIHF's sports tribunal decided to uphold the suspension, meaning Dario Allenspach will not be able to suit up in Game 2 against the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers tonight.

In addition, EV Zug is also not happy that the Player Safety Officer was not willing to open proceedings against the Lakers' Michal Jordán. The Czech defender hit Zug's Nico Gross on the head with his stick. Nevertheless, they won't appeal the decision: "I don't agree with it and I can't understand the decision, but I have to accept it," EVZ's team manager Reto Kläy says to the Luzerner Zeitung.
