The 53-year old has signed a two-year deal with the KHL team and will also take his current assistant Colin Muller with him to form the coaching staff of Lokomotiv for the upcoming two seasons.

Sean Simpson has been the head coach of the Swiss national team since 2010. Undoubtedly the highlight of his time with the team was last year’s silver-medal win at the IIHF World Championship in Finland and Sweden.
