Medical Report

The forward suffers from an ankle injury and fears to be out for longer than he first anticipated, Raffl tells the Kleine Zeitung.

In the first game of the season against EHC Biel a player fell on Raffl's foot. "It was hurting immediately but I still continued to play", the winger tells the Kleine Zeitung.

As the pain got worse, Raffl missed the game against EHC Kloten and has been sidelined ever since. And it seems like the 33-year-old Austrian might miss quite some time due to this ankle injury. "Nothing is broken but I could be sidelined as long as I have never been in my career so far."

Michael Raffl joined Lausanne HC this summer after several years in the NHL where he played for Philadelphia Flyers, Washington Capitals and Dallas Stars.
