HC La Chaux-de-Fonds

Axel Andersson crashed head-first into the boards after being hit by EHC Winterthur's Anthony Staiger. He was not able to get up himself and was treated on the ice for eight minutes before he was stretchered off. Luckily, he was able to move his legs.

As HC La Chaux-de-Fonds' team manager Loïc Burkhalter tells Arcinfo, Andersson will be absent between six months and a year. An exact diagnosis of the injuries is not yet known, but the 24-year-old will not be able to return to play this season at least.
