Under the slogan "Love. Ice Hockey", Switzerland will be hosting the World Championship in 2020, eleven years after the last tournament took place in Berne and Kloten (2009).

The games will be held in the Hallenstadion in Zurich as the main venue, as well as in a new arena in Lausanne, which is planned for a 2020 Winter Youth Olympic bid and is set to accomodate 10,000 spectators.

The Bossard Arena in Zug is listed as the reserve venue in case the stadium in Lausanne will not be ready in time. As the SIHF announces, a final decision on the venues will be made in the course of the upcoming year. (lcu)
