Two more years - SC Bern extends Beat Gerber's contract

SC Bern and Beat Gerber have agreed to extend their contract prematurely for two more years. The defender will thus stay in the capital until the 2019-20 season.

The 35-year-old defender has already played 14 straight seasons for SC Bern. He has appeared in 802 games for them, scoring 29 goals and 85 assists. Since the 2003-04 season, he has won the Swiss championship five times with the Bears.
