24 heures reported on Monday that the Finn would practice with the Lions and that a contract offer to Korpikoski might not be entirely out of question. However, LHC states that Korpikoski is currently waiting for offers from the NHL and the KHL and that his contractual situation will soon be discussed.
Korpikoski played for the Dallas Stars and the Columbus Blue Jackets last season, scoring eight goals and twelve assists in 69 games. In total, the Finn has played in 639 NHL games (88 goals, 118 assists).
