If the investment plan gets passed by the City's parliament, the project would take another step forward. At the same time, the City would meet the demands of the Canton of Fribourg, which will have to contribute almost the same amount of money to the remodeling of the BCF Arena.
Construction, which will cost an estimated CHF 70 million, is scheduled to start next summer and should be finished two years later in 2020. The new arena (photo) will have a capacity of 8,500.
