Birner has been suspended for a hit to the head of EHC Biel's Robbie Earl in the 46th minute of play in last Tuesday's game, and will thus miss the upcoming two games against Ambrì tomorrow and the ZSC Lions on Tuesday next week.
On another note, the club announces that forward Jim Slater has been called up by the US national team to play at the 2017 Deutschland Cup from November 8-12 (including preparation).
